Real Estate Sales Representatives help people make decisions about the largest asset most people will ever own. When buying or selling Real Estate, people are trading much of their financial worth that they have accumulated for many years.

In addition to a large financial investment, there no doubt is often an emotional investment as well. The stakes are high. When a real estate representative acts unethically, public confidence is undermined, not just in people, but in the industry as a whole.

Members of organized Real Estate have an obligation to act in accordance with the REALTOR® Code. In the Real Estate industry there is an accepted Standard of Conduct governing those who are members of the Real Estate Board in a Province.
